I have one on mine, but i'm not really the best one to talk too about which one to fit to your car as there are quite a few on the market, some suitable, some not.

Not sure how much you know about Scoobs/dump valves so...

All Scoobs have a dump valve as std, but it is a nasty plastic thing. You can see it bolted to the front of the intercooler.
There are 2 types of dump valve. Recirculating and Vent to atmosphere (VTA).
The std plastic one is recirc, the ones that make a pssst noise are VTA. Depoends if you want the noise or not. If your not nbothered then I would go for a recirc as it is les likely to upset the fueling.

I would always recomend Forge dump valves, though some of the Jap ones are quite well made too though the do all tend to be VTA types.

If you do get one make sure it is for an STI8 as the fittings changed from the earlier Scoobs :)

It's not a nasty plastic thing on an STi 8 but quite a nice metal one.
If you really must go PSSSSSTISSCCHH, get a Forge VTA. But you'll soon bore of the noise.

I've fitted 2 different makes and taken both off after a couple of days.

Buy one cheap or 1/2 price off ebay. If you don't like it flog it on.....

If fitting one, i would go for the HKS ssqv, many reason why. Top of the list is you can make it recirc so it wont upset the fueling plus silients the sound of it, or can be use to VTA with different cap fitted inside to make higher pitch sound etc so wont sound like any other normal noise that is a common sound these days. Plus, these bad boy's dont leak boost pressure due to its design, very pricey tho.

Ps, i have one of these so i will tell you they are the best! lol. :D

APS also do an adjustable one.
Yo can adjust the point/pressure with the twist of a knob that it VTA's.
I think there is a turbosmart one that does it too :)
