hello can anyone tell me how to fit my knock link. i have set it up on my car but its not working what happens to the connecter that you take off to put the one on from the knock link thanks for any help
Er... so you have fitted the knocklink and plugged it into the original Subaru Knock sensor?
I think you should refit the std connector back to the sensor and source a new knock sensor for the knocklink. How is the ECU getting a knock signal?
A knocklink is suposed to run a seperate sensor or be connected into the ECU knock signal (I wouldn't recomend this though).

yes i have put it to the subaru sensor. i didnt think i had done it right  so i need another sensor
you shold get a sensor in the kit
well i did
any way as dyney has said dont remove standerd knock sensor
you add the second one on the top of block ( near side )
Yep there are 2 kits.
One comes with sensor the other no sensor and you connect it into the ECU loom for the std knock sensor. Wiring it into the loom can effect the signal the ECU gets so I wouldn't advise it :)
It's a Bosch sensor so should be able to pick one up cheaper than buying one from the Link kit supplier.
Have a search on Scoobynet and here for threads on DIY knock monitor and you should pick up the part number and info on were to mount it on the engine :) (unless Scott or Steve has it to hand) ;)
