View Full Version : Electrical Problems
Hi guys - I need a recommendation if poss please. I'm having few electrical nightmare problems at the moment which I have tried really hard to resolve myself but to no avail. My front headlight bulb keeps blowing, I've replaced it 3 times over the last 2 weeks! :2ponder: To add to that my front indicator has decided to stop working, but on the dash board the indicator light flashes twice as fast. Also one of my rear lights has also decided to stop working although the breaks light is fine??? Tried all fuses and relays (as far as I know) but cant diagnose this electrical gremlin!!!!! :brickwall I would take it to GTW Subaru, but right now I cant afford the 75 squid labour charge as crimbo is on its way and I have to save up to take my Girlfriend shopping. Does anyone know a decent electrical guy who's not going to charge the earth for looking at my beast? Who's morals are in the right place and who isn't going to rip the pants off me when it comes to the bill! Any help would be appreciated. :(
Cheers Scooby People!!!!

Hello mate im an electro mechanical engineer and have a small amount of knowledge of car electrics. it could be a cable or connector fault on the poss/negetive. If you need a hand p.m me and i will have a look(no charge) hopefully i can find the prob.:2ponder:
marc
Marc that would be super cool and very kind of you to have a look at it at least. :notworthy I wouldnt expect you to look at it for nothing though - Im sure i can sort something out, ie when i eventually get to a meet i could buy you some pub grubbage :hmm: and a pint or whatever. Ill send you a PM to discuss when & where would be convenient for us. Thanks again!!!
ok
idicator is on a relay and the relay willl be quicker if theres a bulb out
as for the lights its defenatly a brake or loose contact on the wireing loom somewere it sounds to me like a loose contact check all the main lighting loom front and back of car both sides
i traped a wire on my old scoob when doing some work, managed to trap a curtasy light wire, indoor suround, i couldnt set alarm as car thought door was open,
and i know you have had a proplem with a water leak on the lights a while a go so i would try looking in that area if youve been playing
or any other area you have had a part on the car to that fact

Steffs popping round my place sunday so i will do some tests for him.
We should be able to find the problem. If the lamp has got wet it could be a continuity problem.
Cheers chaps!! Legends in your own rights! :hmm: Yesssir!
