i've just fitted prodrive springs to my 03sti and i'm going to have the alignment done.if i fit 18" wheels on later instead of the 17" now fitted will i have to have the alignment done again or is this a good excuse to buy my 18's now?

Bob,
You can fit 18's later if you want without changing the alignment :D

Alignment is done to makesure all the wheels piont in the same direction and have the correct angles for maximum grip/minimum tyre wear.
So it doesn't matter if you go from 15" to 20" wheels the alignment will be the same. The tyre tread will sit at the same angle to the road and the wheels will all still point in the same direction :)

I haven't got round to posting the pics yet (need to get photoshop working first)

Bob,
I always use and recommend Goodyear F1's, but many have good things to say about the Toyo T1S :)

however, it MAY make a difference if your tyres are already warn on the insides as it makes the car sit differently as the tyre isnt square (IYKWIM)
