check engine light

it keeps coming on for apparently no reason. i've reset the ecu using the info that jolly green monster put up on his web site. this showed there to be no problems. have you got any ideas? it only comes on when i'm sat in traffic an the temperature gets a little high but its not over heating and the fans are cutting in.:2ponder:

try just connecting the black connections under the dash and turnng on ignition to see if it's stored a code.

i kept getting that scarey light come on, put some oil and water in and now its gone :hmm:

I have the same problem on my 96 wagon, but since i have changed the spark plugs on it, its been ok. (Why havent we got a touch wood smiley??)
