do you know where i could buy a new alloy one off the shelf ive got the money im a bit nervous about the bodge my mate has done the last thjng i want to do is cook it :nono:

Forge or Spec r do them.
They are quite popular for the reason you found. The MY92-96 header tanks become brittle after a while :(
