Depends on the size and style of intercooler upgrade.

Iy you fit a new age WRX IC to an early classic I would think you would be fine as long as you don't increase the boost to far, but I would be thinking af a remap if you go any further with the modding ;)

If you fitted a Front Mounted InterCooler (FMIC) to any car you should be looking to remap it for saftey and to get the most from the extra charge air cooling/density :)
