wot wire do i cut in to ?

i need to no the colour of the wire to take a feed for my gauges to light them up when i put the lights on ???????:2ponder:

all depends on what year car but most people usually take a feed from the cigarette lighter illumination or other switches and dials. all depends on where your gauges are going to be ? center pod? a-pillar? Are they Defi's ? if so, then the control unit could be in various locations!

What make gauge are you fitting?
Where are you fitting the gauge/controller?

I took a feed from the back of one of the dash switched i.e Fog light switch.

You'll need to test behind the cig lighter for the illumination wire, unless you can get it out and find the feed for the bulb :)

I fitted a boost gauge to my uk 2000 today & used the purple wire from the fog light switch
