No power to fuel pump

Howdy, i was going along fine today then all of a sudden everything came to a halt and i broke down.

The AA man found that i wasnt getting any power to the fuel pump and so couldnt keep the engine going.

He has wired me fuel pump to the heated rear window power supply for now until i can take it to garage monday.

What could have caused the loss of power supply? has anyone else had this before?

Could be the Fuel pump relay (which is right up under the dash at the bottom of the drivers A pillar) :rolleyes:
Not sure if the fuel pump has a fuse, but I would chech them all anyway.
Some in a box by the accelerator and some under the bonnet in a box behind the battery.

The AA blokey checked the ones under the bonnet and they wqere fine, he found the ones under the dash but couldnt get to them, they were fixed to far up to get to them. He seemed to be pretty sure he needed to get to them to be able to fix it properly.
