They should be the same length!
Is it the front or back of the wheel that sticks out?

I take it you hit something quite hard then :)

What have you replaced?
2 x control arms (rear subframe to hub)?
trailing arm (sill to hub)?
Shock strut?
Anti roll bar?

Is the subframe bent?
Is the trailing arm mount damaged, behind the sill?

I take it you hit something with the front of the wheel and bent the suspension backwards?

yeah posssibly wasnt me driving so dont know for sure.
so u think i should check the mounts where the arms bolt through
will it be obvious? cos i thought thet looked fine

If both the new arms are from the same car and that was straight, then I would suspect the mounts on the subframe or the subframe it's self.

the subframe is that easy to change? and are they the same on the wrx import 1s

Have you got the bars mixed up? So the rear bar should be on the front and vise versa.

I think the subfarmes are the same. Though they did add a bracket for the bigger diffs on the type R/RA's IIRC
Getting the subframe off is a fairly big job yes :(
Diff out, Exhaust Back box off, Disconnect all the rear suspension from it.

i dont think so i think they were the same lentgh would it make a differnce if i did?
before swapping the subframes over is there anyway to confirm the subframe is bent or should i see an obvouis bend in it

If they were the same length then I doubt it would make a difference.

I can't think of anyway to check the subframe other than looking at it.
You could measure between the inner mounting points for the control arms on ether side to see it they have moved and measure them side to side to see if the Subframe is still square.
If you have access to another subframe or classic scoob you could compaire your measurments to that :)

I wouldn't drive it to work but if you could get it trailered it would be a good idea.
