Hi Guys and gals, anyone help got a standard subaru alarm and immobilser on a 2001 classic impreza, the keyfob would not work on the car reset the code on the immobilser(4-numbers on a small keypad in glovebox)but the keyfob would still not de-activate the immobilser at all, had to go and get the spare key fob which worked fine, they both had new batteries a month ago and both keyfobs are used everyday and the red light still flashes on it so it has power,so i presume it has lost its coding anybody got any ideas if you can program the keyfob yourself to the alarm, thanks very much.changed the batteries again but still no joy.cheers

you can put new keyfobs into the alarm.... but you have to do all the fobs and not just the one thats not working...

from the alarm book:

**AAAA *91 *N # input this code to add fobs

where AAAA represents the 4 digit PIN code and N represents the total number of keyfobs to be programmed. To confirm correct input of your PIN code the siren will bleep after entering the last digit. Immediately give the button on the first keyfob a press, the siren will bleep, the press the next keyfob, siren bleeps again, after pressing the final remote key wait 10 seconds. then test each keyfob.

might be worth trying, at least it will tell you if the keyfobs knackered....
good luck
