Hi, got a new clutch through today, opened it up and read the instructions, now do go thinking i can fit these things as, i can't. But when reading it i got a bit worried when it said machine the flywheel for this clutch. Can anyone assist me on this please? Also can anyone fit it for me? I had stupid quotes, i know its a beast of a job, but rung scoobyclinic (long way away) and they had quoted 150 plus the vat. And have worked out that i'll be saving 200quid on the quotes down here, and thats including the fuel getting there.
Thanks for reading, sorry to bore you.

Not sure where your from so don't know if Stuart or Rivett's is the most convenient.

But I suspect both will do it for about the same price as Scoobyclinic if your supplying the parts :)

Stuart is near Eastbourne and Mike Rivett is near Horsham, both come well recommended on here as Subaru Specialists :D

Where did I say £150 and where did I say anything about skimming the flywheel?!!!!

I know Mike has flywheels skimmed ready :D
I think they are about £40 exchange, to cover the cost of skimming :)

I was talking about changing the clutch as was mrchips

Yeah £150 for the clutch changed, where do i find about getting the flywheel sorted at the same time as i might as well get done if its out at the same time. Do you have number for mike, as horsham would be closer, as i'm from Brighton. Thanks for the help guys very helpful stuff.

I think Tone means it costs him £40 to get the std flywheel lightened ;)
Problem is you need it done before you change the clutch :(

Mike will do an exchange flywheel if you want.
Rivett autos speak to Mike himself on 01483 272151 :)

All sorted now, i got hold of Stuart, and he's coming to pick the car up monday, he's going to skim the flywheel, for about £25, and fit the clutch for about £160. And for picking up is £20, so not bad at all really.

Car is now in, Stuart came and picked it up this morning, really nice bloke. Had a chat, found some info off him which is always good, can't wait to get it back now.

Yeah baby got it back today, clutch is a bit mental to what i'm used to but is quality, Stuart did a top job, real nice bloke, poor bloke had a nightmare with the turbo, two bolts snapped and one was threaded by the person before. But all is very well, well recommended. Thanks guys.
