Can anyone confim to me what bhp a standard WR1 has?? :2ponder:

I've heard so many different answers from 305 to 325 and everything in between.

And also, are they basically a STi with the ppp fitted as standard or is there anything extra?? (apart from the wheels/cosmetics etc) :thumb:

The WR1 was released with an uprated PPP pack, which gave it 320bhp. Not sure of the torque figures. I think it is basically the same map upgrade as the RB320.

I think the WR1 was the first UK Subaru to get DCCD diffs as well :2ponder:

Thank you. 320bhp is good news. What's the bit about the diff mean? And how is that better?
:2ponder: I'm completely ignorant to the technical stuff :2ponder:

basicly you can change the diff from say 45/55 split to 35,65 split

making the car more rear happy

Good news?. Is 'no scooby mike' about to become WR1 mike then? The diff gives you more control over the set up as buzz said and it also makes the car ****** awful to drive at low speeds. However i am assured that on a track its very useful.

I've been keeping my beady eye out for a nice one since I test drove and decided not to buy the new Civic Type-R based on it's horrid backside!

But i need to find one that hasn't been round the world 7 times and that isn't located as far away as outer mongolia. But it's been proving very difficult, most nice ones are at dealerships that want to charge 25k for them.
Also on the hunt for an E46 M3, again, nice ones proving just as illusive. I'd still have to be 'no scooby-mike' with an M3 though. :thumb:

Go for a WR1 mate. Have you tried the owners club to see if any are for sale? I still think they look  I drove an M3, and although it felt solid, it didnt do much for me to be honest.
