Hi, i have a 95 plate classic sti, it has an uprated fuel pump, apexi exhaust, induction kit and a bov, been on the rolling road and has 273bhp with 267lbft, but is running rich, the boost peaks at 0.9 then drops back and holds 0.7. When letting it have it in 1st gear the boost coming in is very violent really kicks a couple of times then goes, i just fitted a turbosmart boost 't' and up'd it so it peaks at just under 1.1 then holds 1.0. The trouble now being it fuel cut's in 4th gear at roughly 4000rpm then again at roughly 6000rpm. Why would it do this shall i just take the boost 't' off as i dont wanna do any damage?? Is this not the best way to go?? :2ponder: :2ponder:

Si said it's probably your air filter sucking in hot air. (Something he may have heard from Bill & Ben, but he wont admit taking advice!!) :haha:

I, on the other hand have no idea because I'm rubbish :2ponder: but that's what he said anyway :nod:

Yeah thats bout right, its on work or return basis, if it dont work he'll be sticking it on ebay, which is good of him though!:haha:

Because your hitting the safety limit on the ECU.
Fuel cut for a 1995 car is 15.6spi, just under 1.1bar.

The most you can run would be about 1bar, unless you get is mapped ;)
