View Full Version : Poor running
This morning while on my way to work my scooby was running very poorly!
it was like she was losing rev's even though they where running at a constant level and it really only happened while the turbo was boosting up. I have recently fitted a bailey DV but the problem has only just started. I think it my be a faulty vacuum hose but any ideas would be welcome?
P.s she is a 94 WRX import
Cheers

at a guess i would cheack your coil packs and plugs to start with the go on to cam senser then crank senser aslo is the engine check light on if so read the fault codes
hope this helps a bit
matt
Yeah have spoken to subaru and Safe n sound in brighton and both of them think its the coil packs, havingit looked at later by a mate and if it is them have already got some put by ready for order tomorrow !
Cheers though mate!

I would plump for MAF or Crank or Cam sensor.
If it's the Crank or Cam sensor I would expect the Check Engine light to come on, or at least to of logged a code.
I've not known a MAF to log a fault, even when obviously faulty.
All 4 coil packs wouldn't of failed at the same time. Plus they don't just die but deterioate i.e it would misfire every now and then.
Beleive it or not a Scoob will run on 1 cylinder. I've seen it........
I have to agree with Scott.
I have had my scoob run on 2 coil packs, somewhat rough but does run.
Definitly start with checking CEL code

Agree it will run with one or two failed / failing coil packs..
just be rough on idle and sluggish..
I'd look at fuel pump? does it prime when you run the ignition on?
